Hospice of Holland is dedicated to providing the most competent and compassionate end of life care for our patients and families. We believe that in a very real sense individuals are "called" to serve. With that in mind:

Social Worker  Hospice of Holland has an immediate opening for a social worker to work a minimum of 32 hours per week on a regular basis. The qualified candidate must have a Masters Degree in social work and have a current Michigan Social Work licensure.  The position responsibilities include working as part of an Interdisciplinary Team to assist patients and families in managing stress, emotional concerns and resource needs related to end of life issues. Strong communication skills are a must. Prior counseling experience in health care, Hospice care and/or family systems is preferred.

Registered Nurses  The Hospice House, our 18 room residential facility, has two positions for 2nd shift Registered Nurses. One of the positions is a full-time position, 32 hours per week, and the other is for a part time position of 24 hours per week. Both positions require weekend work every other weekend. The RN is responsible for managing the patient care plan including; administering medications, documenting procedures and activities, and overseeing general patient care. The nurse would also direct the general activities of other staff on the shift, monitor shift activity, provide direct nursing care, and evaluate the patients'needs on a continual basis.

The shift operates from 3:00PM to 11:00PM seven days a week.

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license to practice nursing in the state of Michigan. Charge nurse experience and hospice experience is preferred.

LPN  The Hospice House has a fulltime 1st shift opening for an LPN to assist a Registered Nurse in providing personal care and comfort services to our patients, following the prescribed care plan. This position requires 32 hours per week.

CNA's  The Hospice House also has opportunities for CNA's on all 3 shifts. Two of the positions are part time and one of the positions is a fulltime (32 hours minimum). The positions involve providing comfort and personal care to our patients, assisting with meals, and assisting the RN as needed. Certification is required and Hospice experience is a plus.
