Cherie Elhart - Secretary

Cherie is a registered nurse and has worked in variety of nursing areas. She spent 11 years with Kelly Health Care. She then worked in Grand Rapids helping Olsten Corporation open a health care office. Cherie also worked as the marketing director for Holland Community Hospital's Home Health Services and Holland Home Care. She then took time off to be a stay-at-home mom and volunteer. She currently has a small retail business selling recycled automotive accessories such as license plate purses, seat belt purses, and other items.

Being involved in the community is important to Cherie. She has been on the Friends of Hospice fundraising committee, involved with HCH fundraiser for the Community Health Center, was a member of the Holland Junior Welfare League, and has helped with fundraising for the Holland Arts Council, Holland Museum, Macatawa Bay Junior Yacht Club and the Boys and Girls Club.

Cherie is also involved in her church, Christ Memorial, serving for 4 years on the Health Advisory Group board. She is currently the CMC representative on the citywide Health Ministry Advisory Team, which is a liaison position between CMC/HCH/and the parish nurses. She currently teaches Project Charlie at Van Raalte School and volunteers in many areas in the Holland Public School system.

Married to Jeff Elhart, they will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in December. They have two sons, Jake, 16 and Ben, 13. As a family, they keep active with traveling soccer for the boys; snow skiing, boating and traveling.
